In any congregation, regardless of size, it is easy for new and old members alike to feel lost in the crowd. At St. Paul’s Parish, our fellowship ministries are designed to welcome new members, establish communication, support one another in emergencies, provide an avenue for expression of ideas, and keep our members from “getting lost”.
Fellowship starts after our Sunday morning worship. After the 8:00 a.m. service, there is a “Breakfast Group” which patronizes a local restaurant each week; after the 10:00 a.m. service our “Coffee Hour Hosts” provide treats for all to share in the Parish Hall. In addition, a Men’s Breakfast Group meets on Thursday mornings and women engage in fellowship after Tuesday Morning Prayer. A knitting circle and a crafters group meet weekly to deepen relationships and provide support, as well as to work on their projects and share tips and wisdom. These gifted hands have also made prayer shawls for those dealing with illness, injury, or loss; baby blankets for newborns; and hats, scarves, and mittens for those in need, primarily merchant seamen through the Episcopal Church’s Seamen’s Institute.
