Today, April 5, 2012, is Maundy Thursday. At St. Paul’s Parish the Holy Communion will be celebrated jointly with two other Medina County Episcopal congregations: St. Patrick’s, Brunswick, and St. Mark’s, Wadsworth. Father Allan Belton of St. Mark’s Parish will preside a the Liturgy of the Word; Father Eric Funston of St. Paul’s will preach; and Father George Baum of St. Patrick’s Church will preside at the Liturgy of the Table. Following the Eucharist all present will enjoy an Agapé Feast in the Parish Hall and then return to Nave for a ritual Foot Washing.
A Prayer Vigil will begin in the Chapel of Repose at 9 p.m. All are welcome to spend some time with the Blessed Sacrament throughout the night. The Prayer Vigil will end at 8 a.m. on Good Friday when the first service of Communion from the Reserved Sacrament will be offered.
