Members of St. Paul’s Parish will once again distribute bottled water to parade-goers on July 4, 2010.
A program of evangelism started a couple of years ago, church members donate flats of 1/2 litre bottled water. The individual bottles are tagged with the church’s name, address, telephone number, website, and service times. These are then distributed to the crowds along East Liberty Street, the traditional route of Medina’s Memorial Day and July 4th Parades. Nearly fifteen cases were distribution at the Memorial Day 2010 parade. The church building is also opened so that parade-goers may see its interior. (The restrooms are also made available to the public.)
The 2010 July 4th Parade will run along East Liberty Street on the evening of Sunday, July 4, between 6 and 8 p.m. The church will offer its Celtic Eucharist, with prayers for Independence Day, at 5:30 p.m.
Flats of water may be donated at the church any time this week. Those would like to volunteer to assist with the distribution of water along the parade route, please contact Linda Garman.
